Project 1: Contextual Study Sketch Journal of a Traditional Street

In this project we were required to conduct a physical site visit to one of the traditional streets in were given to us and then identify the physical and non physical context of the street, and show our observations in the form of a manual sketch journal and written summary.

This project made me understand the place context and the street architecture, social and cultural individually and how they are connected to each other. Also it helped me improve my sketching skill a little bit and data collecting skill. finally, I should have spend more time on sketching to improve the out come.

Project 2: Poster and Seminar-Contemporary Issues in Asian Architecture

for this project, in a groups of 6 we need to first choose one of the streets in project which was used by the members and identify the issue and then focus on a specific scope of study.

the project helped me understand the salient issues of globalization in the Asian architecture, practice and improve my problem solving skill, group work and discussion. I felt that not all of the group members were working which led to decrease our outcome efficiency so to avoid that from happening again we should delegate some individual tasks.
